Snake Katana: design and finishes

The Snake Katana offers a striking aesthetic with its omnipresent ophidians and its copper-colored saya or scabbard reminiscent of flames.

Its T10 steel blade, sharpened to perfection on demand, features a classic silver hue. The guard, beautifully sculpted in the shape of a coiled snake, is captivating with its golden highlights.

The handle or tsuka, wrapped in camel-brown Tsuka-ITO, sits on a base of sandy-yellow Pu Samegawa, offering a refined contrast. The snake motifs are repeated with subtlety, from the menuki to the details of the kashira and fuchi under the guard, creating a visual continuity throughout the sword. The brass habaki adds a further note of elegance.

The blade, 28.35in long and 1.260in wide, is 0.276in thick, giving the katana good balance. The precision of the design guarantees optimal guard inclination, ensuring a captivating visual experience and an ideal grip for cutting.
