Wooden Training Katana: Design and finishes

The blade of this wooden katana is made of rosewood. A thin blue sageo is woven into the black and blue speckled wooden saya.

The wooden tsuka and white PU samegawa have a blue tsuka-ito woven into a diamond shape, for a comfortable grip. The round, carved iron guard is topped by a gilded brass habaki.

The blade of this white katana is 28.34 inches long. Measuring 40.16 inches including the scabbard, it weighs only around 2.205 lb, making it easy to carry for sword training.
