Ruri Katana Sword: design and finishes

The Ruri, or Lapis Lazuli, katana sword features a Damascus steel blade in fascinating shades of blue and red. The hollow, four-leaf clover-shaped guard adds a unique, elegant touch to the sword while offering excellent grip. The handle, covered in imitation white stingray skin, is encircled by blue diamond braiding, providing both comfort and aesthetic appeal. The menuki, adorned with black dragon motifs, add a mystical dimension to this katana, while the black Fuchi and Kashira, engraved with delicate flowers, complete this masterpiece perfectly. Finally, the Ruri is housed in a granular blue lacquered wooden scabbard, fastened at the waist by a thick blue Sageo, a further reminder of the colors of this blue stone symbolizing intelligence.
