Gold and Black Tanto: Design and finishes

This black and gold tanto with its 1095 steel blade is available in both a sharp and dull version. The wave-shaped hamon makes the blade unique.

The design is detailed by a deep black wooden saya featuring hand-painted golden feathers. The tsuka, with its wooden handle and PU samegawa, offers comfort and a good grip. The black tsuka-ito is woven in a diamond shape, and the iron guard is round and lightly carved. The golden finish of the brass habaki enhances the aesthetics of this mini katana. With a 12.99in blade, an overall length of 19.29in without scabbard, and a weight of about 1.76 lb, this black Japanese tanto is very well balanced.
