Chie Tanto: design and finishes

The Chie Tanto (知恵) features a T10 steel blade with a distinctive genuine hamon, testifying to the high quality of its forging. The Tsuka, wrapped in black diamond-pattern braiding, rests on an imitation white stingray skin, while the golden dragon-shaped menuki adds a touch of elegance. The black guard, adorned with gold flower engravings, is a perfect match for the black and gold alloy Fuchi and Kashira. The red lacquered wooden scabbard, decorated with kamon, completes this tanto with refinement.
